Erik & Tom is a short film by Bloodhound Productions about brotherhood and the fear of appearing weak, set during a midsummer night. The brief was to translate a psychologically charged story into a restrained visual language, using symbolism and absence instead of literal scenes.
Commissioned poster design. The photographs are stills from the film; the concept and design are mine.
01 · Early exploration
02 · Proximity and hierarchy
The direction
The first direction used eye contact and recognisable faces. It told the story clearly but gave nothing away. The second moved toward body language: the younger brother exists in the physical and psychological shadow of the older one.

Alternative final · Illustrated direction
The final
Hierarchy is shown through absence. The older brother's back becomes both presence and barrier. Minimal type and a tactile surface keep it as restrained as the film. The alternative, made with full creative freedom, reduces the whole setting to one symbolic threshold: the cliff.
